Muesli mixes

Muesli mixes:
a broad range of compositions

Our broad range of cereal flakes, seeds and grains, nuts and dried fruits can be used to create a wide variety of different compositions. Whether it’s a question of meeting your exact specifications or working with you to develop your own signature muesli for your products, our teams and processes will meet your expectations.

Muesli offers numerous nutritional benefits. High in fibre, thanks in particular to cereal flakes, muesli is a source of protein, vitamins and minerals, as well as healthy fatty acids from the fruit and oilseeds. Mixed with milk or yoghurt, either dairy or plant-based, for breakfast or as a snack during the day, muesli is a complete meal that leaves consumers with a sensation of satiety.

Origins of muesli

Muesli is a raw mixture of cereal flakes, seeds, grains, nuts and fruits. Muesli was invented by Swiss doctor Maximilian Oskar Bircher-Benner, in around 1900. Legend has it that he was introduced to muesli by a hardy mountain man who ate it every morning.

Spas, health resorts and sanatoriums appeared in the 19th century, accompanied by the development of modern medicine. Dieticians started focusing on diet, and Dr Bircher’s muesli was part of this trend.

The seeds and grains can undergo prior microbial decontamination, depending on your needs.

FLANQUART
know-how

Our expertise allows us to create muesli mixes that stand out from the crowd. The seeds and grains can be prepared before being used in the muesli mix (caramelised, salted). Coarse grains and seeds can be crushed into bits for a more multi-coloured range.

We can also offer you several types of packaging and customised labelling to optimise the distribution of your seed and grain muesli to your customers.
