Sunflower seed bits

Sunflower seed bits

Sunflower seeds are always a sure bet. They are increasingly present in numerous formulations thanks to their sweetish flavour and crunch. Drawing on our sourcing expertise, we work select the ideal sunflower seed variety depending on the application.

In baked goods, pastries and ready meals or frozen desserts, crushed sunflower seeds can be used even more easily.

Sunflower seeds
and their nutritional qualities

Consumers appreciate sunflower seeds for their nutritional benefits. Sunflower seed bits enable better bio-assimilation of fibre, protein and monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids.

Sunflower seeds also have a high vitamin E content.

We propose sunflower seed bits to extend the applications. Crushed to make bits, sunflower seeds add texture and crunch to both sweet and savoury fillings.

In our dedicated production units, we perform microbial decontamination, toasting of variable intensity, caramelisation or salting. Preparations such as toasting make it possible to vary the flavours of sunflower seed bits, giving peanut or walnut notes. Caramelised sunflower seed bits are interesting alternatives for use as inclusions or toppings in pastries and frozen desserts. Sunflower seed bits are crushed in our allergen-free production unit. We adapt the particle size to our customer’s requirements.
