Within the framework of the development of our traceable line of supply, we have established in Senegal in July, 2007 for the culture of the sesame.
We developed a partnership with groups of Senegalese farmers for the production of the sesame. What’s more, we have also a team presenting on the ground to be in charge of, to support and to follow these producers.
We attach a great importance to the training of the farmers. We inform them about the new cultivated techniques, make them aware of food hygiene, and try to improve their agricultural equipment by working for example on the disks of seeders.
In our new factory settled in 100km east of Dakar, in the region of Thiès, we clean, sort out and hull the sesame.
We use a process of completely mechanical hulling, as well as we don’t resort to any chemical processes which avoid all the treatments in the soda.
This process brings the food safety and the respect for environment.
